It’s a well kept secret among the animators themselves, but there are hunters working in secrecy building an arsenal of anti-bugs. They are called “Nano Bugs”, and they eat viruses for breakfast. A file can be infected with up to three different viruses before becoming too unstable to use.

It is possible that your animation will fail to upload after the first attempt due to an incompatibility between your file and the server. If you receive a “corrupted or invalid data” error, retry uploading with the same file immediately afterwards. Your animation should successfully load on the second try.

How to beat nano virus

Well, there are 10 bugs that can beat nano virus, but it takes forever to unlock them. And each bug beats only 1 virus. Virus Lvl 0 – Beat with Bug1 Virus level 1 – Beat with Bug2 Virus level 2 – Beat with Bug3 and so on.. the list goes on like this: Virus lvl 1 – Beat with Bug1 and Bug2 Virus lvl 2 – Beat with Bug1,Bug2 and Bug3 Virus lvl 3 – Beat with Bug1,Bug2 ,Bug3 and Bug4… etc.

To unlock all bugs you need to beat the game once on any difficulty. Then you can go back from main menu > extras > bugs and “buy” all bugs for $1000. Buying one bug makes you lose 1 life, so if you want to buy all 10 of them, it costs $10 000. Once you have bought all bugs there is no need to beat the game again on brutal! Just go back from main menu > extras > bugs and switch the “unlock all” switch to “on”. Now you can turn any bug on/off, as many times as you want!

What is the Nano Virus and how does it work?

Nano Virus is a special type of virus that can infect files. It will not show an error message if the file is already infected by one or more viruses, but it does work on them as well. So basically if you had 3 viruses on your animation and ran into nano virus, your animation would first be changed to the last file you have uploaded, and then to a nano virus.

Once your file is infected with the Nano Virus, movement will be displayed as either random pixels or parts of another animation. Turning off the animation fixes it until you turn it on again. If your animation is still within its 24 hour time limit, even if already infected by a nano virus, you can still fix it by turning off and then on.

How to protect yourself from the Nano Virus

There are only two ways to prevent getting infected by the nano virus: Either upload a file that is already nano-virus free (this should always be possible), or make sure your animation has been “saved as” at least once and does not contain any viruses before uploading.

Mega Brutal and the Nano Virus – a match made in hell

On a random occasion, the Nano Virus will beat all 10 bugs and your animation will turn black. This is called Mega Brutal and can’t be undone. The only way to fix this is by deleting the animation from the website and uploading it again as a completely new file! If you have bought all bugs, as soon as your file becomes a mega brutal, you have 24 hours time to upload another file and the previous one will remain available for download until it runs out of time! After that, both files will be gone forever.

The important thing to remember is that your animation will not become a Mega Brutal if you load a new file while previously infected by a Nano Virus. You can still get mega brutal for some other reason, but it’s not the Nano Virus that does this. And if you load another file while your animation is already Mega Brutal, your previous file will remain unaffected and available for download until it runs out of time!

Conclusion

The Nano Virus is a special type of virus. It will not show an error message if the file is already infected by one or more viruses, but it does work on them as well. So basically if you had 3 viruses on your animation and ran into nano virus, your animation would first be changed to the last file you have uploaded, and then to a nano virus.
