i get asked this question a lot, and I’ve decided to write all that you need (and probably more) here. This is by no means complete, but it’s a start at least. If another question pops up, I may add more information later.
I’d like to point out that some of the older content about hacking is somewhat outdated. Most of the information, however, is still relevant.
First of all, the most important thing you need to know is that hacking isn’t exactly easy. You might be able to get somewhere with it by just playing around, but if you want to create something good, expect to spend time learning and even more time testing. If I can give one piece of advice on this matter, it’s this: save very often.
